The Columbia Stem Cell Initiative (CSCI) is tapping the potential of stem cells for human health.

Welcome to our new website, which coincides with a new effort to structure and illustrate the research of more than 100 stem cell laboratories throughout Columbia. To those outside the university, we hope to convey our excitement about the wealth and future potential of our stem cell programs. Internally, the site will act as a vector for collaboration and exchange of information. Click on the thematic thumbnails below to find out more about CSCI activity in therapeutic areas across the spectrum.

Over the coming years, stem cell research will undoubtedly need to negotiate new hurdles, even as it opens beneficial avenues that are unimagined today. The route to success will not be linear or straightforward, but we hope that we can count upon your support every step of the way.
