The Columbia Stem Cell Initiative is engaged in the education and training of stem cell researchers at multiple levels. A university-wide stem cell training program includes Columbia faculty from across the range of specialties encompassed by CSCI. This program provides rigorous theoretical and practical training in stem cell biology through course work, research opportunities in CSCI stem cell laboratories and exposure to cutting edge science through participation in the annual CSCI retreat and the internal and external seminar series. Training is available to graduate students and postdocs from multiple programs, as well as to medical fellows and clinicians. The stem cell training program aspires to successfully educate tomorrow’s leaders in all aspects of stem cell biology and we encourage the participation of interested researchers from all disciplines.

If you have questions about training possibilities, please contact Lalena Luna, executive assistant to Dr. Passegué, at or Dr. Barbara Corneo, Director the Stem Cell Core facility, at
